In Hyper Universe, players will take control of one of a multitude of battle-ready “Hypers” and use their insane abilities to defeat the opposing team and bring about victory. Taking many shapes and sizes, the Hypers range from a mage who rains down giant snowmen on his enemies, to a mongoose riding astride an armored rhinoceros, to a tentacled Admiral with the power of the kraken at his call, and more! The distinctive playable characters, inspired by legendary icons in popular culture, fall into a diverse set of both new and traditional MOBA roles to create a frenetic battlefield filled with a wealth of crazy techniques and exhibitions of skill.

Played using a two handed keyboard control scheme, Hyper Universe combines the gameplay found in a side-scrolling action platform title with the highly strategic teamoriented play of a MOBA. Every Hyper brings a new strategy and wealth of crazy techniques to the fight.

With the official launch, players will see a rebalanced core experience with an emphasis on individual skill and coordinated teamplay. Items available to purchase through the Hyper Universe shop will be cosmetic only, allowing players to deck out their favorite Hypers with fresh skins while still maintaining the integrity of the game’s skill requirements. Also launching along with the game is the biggest Hyper content update yet, refueling the Universe with exciting new interactions and team compositions. With the addition of six new Hypers, one for each class, players will get to test their skills with Tae’guk, Sonya, Perseus, Han, Camilla and Gulunba, and find themselves in a heated brawl as one of 41 unique Hypers total.

“Since releasing through Steam’s Early Access program this past August, the development team carefully reviewed all player feedback, implementing wide-ranging gameplay changes,” said Jungsoo Lee, General Manager of Nexon America. “We want to thank our passionate and dedicated community for their hard work to help shape the development of this game and we eagerly await their response when it goes live for everyone later this month.”
