Total War: Arena represents a new direction for the Total War franchise, and is in development by a dedicated team at Creative Assembly, focused on a purely multiplayer experience.

Each player controls three units of warriors, led by an iconic commander from history, each with their own battle style.  Players level up commanders and units to open up more specialist skills, weaponry, armor and abilities.  Decisive strategies, combat tactics and teamwork decide who is victorious.

Gather your troops and prepare your battle plans, as more fresh recruits and fearless warriors are coming to the battlefield with our second Open Week!

All players with a Wargaming account will have access to the Total War: ARENA Closed Beta Test from Friday February 2 at 12:00 UTC until Monday February 12 at 09:00 UTC. That’s over a week of prime battle time, so throw yourself in and join the fray! Go to the ‘Download Game’ section of our portal, and follow the instructions on how to download the Wargaming.net Game Center and install Total War: ARENA.

To play the game you will need to accept and install the EasyAntiCheat system. You can find everything you need to know about this software here.

During the Open Week, we’ll be running a few different missions to provide your troops with more experience, and more silver to pay for equipment. This should ensure you have the best possible start as you begin your own legend in Total War: ARENA! You can learn more about the missions here.

We haven’t even mentioned our Immortals program yet! You can looks forward to taking advantage of the initiative’s increased bonuses while playing the game during Closed Beta.

For our fresh recruits, we recommend following the tutorial, and then playing against the AI to become familiar with the game and some of its intricacies before pitting yourselves against more experienced Commanders in online battles.
