Nerve Software announced the addition of Todd Hollenshead as Business Manager where he will be responsible for overall company growth and strategic partnerships, while President Brandon James will continue to lead creative and title development.

Founded in 2001, Dallas-based Nerve Software is an Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences D.I.C.E.Award-winning developer that has partnered with multiple game industry titans in bringing some of the world’s most popular game franchises to market, including titles in Activision’s Call of Dutyseries, id Software’s Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein franchises, as well as Super Lucky’s Tale from Playful and multiple projects with Gearbox Software. The studio is also developing original IP titles targeting the Nintendo Switch platform and bleeding-edge VR experiences.

“I could not be more thrilled with this announcement. After working together at id Software, Todd is without question the best person to realize my vision, and propel Nerve Software to the next level,” said James, President.  “Todd’s reputation among publishers, developers, partners and the community is unmatched.”

After starting his career at accounting firm Arthur Andersen, Hollenshead joined id Software as CEO in 1996. During his 17-year tenure, he grew the studio from 13 employees to 200+; overseeing the release of dozens of blockbuster titles and licensed products.  In 2009, Hollenshead architected the nine-figure sale of id Software to Zenimax.  He subsequently served as President of id Software.

“I’ve followed Brandon’s career and been impressed by the imagination, talent, passion and creativity of Nerve Software. Given our history of success, the opportunity to work together again was an immediate ‘yes,’” said Hollenshead.  “I’m incredibly motivated to strengthen the company’s position in the industry while Brandon continues to deliver engrossing gameplay experiences.”
