'For Honor' (ALL) Dedicated Servers Coming To PS4/Xbox One Tomorrow

by Rainier on March 5, 2018 @ 2:05 p.m. PST

For Honor is a fast-paced, competitive experience mixing skill, strategy, and team play with visceral melee combat.

Carve a path of destruction through the battlefield fighting for guts, glory, and survival in For Honor, a new melee action game developed by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with other Ubisoft studios.

Enter the chaos of a raging war as a knight, Viking, or samurai, three of the greatest warrior legacies. For Honor is a fast-paced and immersive experience, mixing skill with visceral, never-before-seen melee combat.

The Art of Battle, the game's innovative control system, puts you in total control of your heroes, each with distinct skills and weapons, as you annihilate all soldiers, archers, and opposing heroes who stand in your way on an intense, believable battleground.

For Honor offers an engaging campaign and thrilling multiplayer. Enjoy the full experience with friends online, in split-screen two-player co-op, or solo against AI.

Following the PC roll out on February 19, all For Honor consoles players worldwide will be able to play on the dedicated server infrastructure starting tomorrow, March 6. The transition will be completed following a maintenance starting at 2:00PM UTC.

The introduction of dedicated servers to For Honor will improve matchmaking and overall online stability to offer a better and smoother experience to For Honor players for all PvP modes.

The recent implementation for PC players saw several improvements to the online experience including:

  • Resyncs and host migrations during games have been entirely eliminated.
  • Match completion rates on PvP modes have improved overall.
  • Major fixes have already been implemented on the PC side following the launch to improve the experience on servers. Consoles players will benefit from these improvements from day one.

Dedicated servers are introduced as part as For Honor Season Five: Age of Wolves, which focuses on the core player experience and also introduces major Hero and fight updates, a 3-week special event, as well as new training modes later in the season.
