'Elea' (ALL) Gets Steam Early Access Date, Also Comes To Xbox One - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on April 5, 2018 @ 11:33 a.m. PDT

Elea is an interactive storytelling adventure inspired by the work of the classic 20th century sci-fi authors.

Elea is a surreal sci-fi adventure game in which you play as space scientist Elea. Among other themes, the Elea narrative will examine human existence and identity in the context of interstellar travel and the wake of the omniscient A.I.

In 2073, Earth was struck by a horrid childhood disease and Elea’s husband Ethan joined an expedition to colonize Solace, a habitable exoplanet, to save humanity from extinction. The interstellar ship he was on, Pilgrimage, went radio silent shortly after it reached planet Solace.

Thirteen years later, Elea joins a recovery mission on research starship RSS Recovery to investigate the faith of the expedition. What follows is a wondrous journey through space where she encounters phenomena beyond human grasp.

Elea Episode 1 is coming to early access on Steam on the 24th of April.

The game is available for a reduced price during early access, so that players can give their feedback. This valuable feedback will be used to make the finishing touches to the game. The finished game will release two to three months later on Steam and Xbox One.

Key Features:

  • Immerse yourself in the fully explorable and beautifully created fictional world of Project Elea. Claustrophobic old-school space environments alternate with beautiful vistas and highly detailed interiors thanks to Unreal Engine 4.
  • Project Elea offers a rich and unsettling narrative, inspired by the books of classic Sci-Fi authors like Stanislaw Lem, Arthur C. Clarke and Frank Herbert.
  • Interact with almost anything in the game; solve logical puzzles, including periodic physically based distractions.
  • Expect the unexpected on this curious journey through outer space
