'Killing Floor: Incursion' Comes To PSVR On May 1 - Screens

by Rainier on April 6, 2018 @ 5:17 p.m. PDT

Killing Floor: Incursion brings all of the horror sci-fi carnage that fans love to the next level in this cooperative VR shooter.

As a trainee of the elite Horzine Security Forces, you’ve been implanted into a neuro-active simulation where you fight hordes of sci-fi monsters with bullets and blades, but your true purpose here seems shrouded in mystery…

Killing Floor: Incursion will offer intense and unmatched cooperative VR shooter combat in a compelling universe. Combining elements of combat, adventure, survival horror and exploration, players will experience a full narrative campaign experience as they infiltrate the Horzine central computer.

Players will be able to freely explore the area as they move throughout the environment scavenging for weapons and ammo while searching for the best locations to fight the monster onslaught. Battle in diverse environments from creepy farmhouses to high tech facilities through Horzine Security Forces missions and unlock the secrets of the Zeds origins.

Players will get their first taste of Killing Floor: Incursion, including the full game, as well as an all-new timed-exclusive Holdout Mode map for PlayStation VR, will launch worldwide on May 1, 2018 for $29.99 USD/ €29.99 Euro.

Playable in the Sony booth at PAX East this weekend and available for pre-order later this month on the PlayStation Store, Killing Floor: Incursion for PlayStation VR will come with a timed exclusive Holdout Mode map, “The Crucible”, which finds players defending locations against increasingly deadly hordes of enemies in a frenetic, arcade-like action experience.

The map contrasts sharply with the realistic style of the rest of the levels in the game with it’s Tron-style virtual sci-fi aesthetic. The Crucible started out as a development arena for trying out gameplay ideas in the Holdout game mode and it was so fun that the developers made the decision to fully flesh it out and add it in for PS VR players to enjoy.

In addition, players can expect the PlayStation VR version to include all post-launch content updates released for HTC VIVE and Oculus Rift platforms, including the Hardcore difficulty mode, Katana weapon, leaderboards, and more.

Key Features:

  • Fight the Zed sci-fi monster hordes with guns, blades and more as the multi-million selling Killing Floor franchise comes to VR
  • Experience a full narrative campaign as you battle through diverse environments from creepy farmhouses to high tech facilities and unlock the secrets of the Zeds origins
  • Move freely though the environment as you scavenge for weapons and ammo using your brains and bullets to solve the challenges before you
  • Cooperative multiplayer – watch each other’s backs as you battle the Zeds together with your friends.

Killing Floor: Incursion is currently available on the Oculus Store and Steam.
