'Century: Age Of Ashes' Delayed A Few Weeks To Avoid 'Battlefield 2042' Launch

by Rainier on Sept. 27, 2021 @ 3:58 a.m. PDT

Become a legendary dragon rider and rule the skies in this competitive Free-to-Play team-based shooter where skill is the only thing that separates victors from the fallen.

Century: Age of Ashes is a free-to-play game of multiplayer aerial arena battles where players select one of three classes with distinct abilities, each with their own unique dragon.

Customize your dragon, dive into the arena, and compete to become a legendary Dragoneer.

Compete as a team and rain fire down on your foes!

Hello Dragoneers,

Last week, we learned that one of the most anticipated games of the year postponed its launch to one day after our planned release date. As a consequence, we have decided to postpone the launch of Century: Age of Ashes to December 2nd 2021 to give it space.

We want to also answer a beta-related question that the community has been asking about: "Will your progressing during the closed beta 2 be reset?".

Since the 2nd closed beta, we brought a lot of improvements in all aspects to Century, including leveling progression. Therefore, after studying all possibilities, we came to the conclusion that we could not technically keep your progression from the closed beta. We are truly sorry for that.

As promised, players will get to keep the exclusive skin that was obtained during the beta periods. We'll also compensate for your progression by offering you a Mystery chest! We hope that you'll enjoy your journey into Century: Age of Ashes, and we can't wait to share more about what we have planned for you!

The Playwing team

Key Features:

  • INTENSE ARENA BATTLES: Compete in intense multiplayer arena battles, master your dragon, and show enemies your power in high speed dogfights. The arena is unforgiving and you must be as well if you want to survive! Triumph with your team in 3 game modes: Carnage (Team Deathmatch), Survival (6v6v6 - Last Team Standing), and Raid (Capture the Flag)!
    • Carnage: A 6v6 killing spree with special power ups appearing in the arena to unleash hell on your opponents. It’s Team Deathmatch, Dragon riders style!
    • Survival: A Last Team Standing mode where up to 18 players divide into 3 teams (6v6v6). Respawn is limited and can only be done through ally rescue!
    • Raid: A unique mode in which two teams clash over possession of the flag. Gain points by flying through special gates around the arena while holding the flag!
  • CHOOSE YOUR PLAYSTYLE: Experience different play styles with 3 unique classes, each with their own abilities! Shield and disorient as the Windguard, track and destroy as the Marauder, or stealth and trap as the Phantom. How will you choose your path to victory? New classes will be added to the game regularly.
  • FULL CUSTOMIZATION: Stand out on the battlefield with prestigious gear and legendary dragons that only true dragoneers can possess! As you progress, every level gained opens up opportunities to make your class characters and dragons look unique with new customization options. Gain experience in battle to hatch new dragons to ride. As mighty as you may look riding into battle, Century: Age of Ashes is a game of skill where all customisation options are solely cosmetic.
  • Century: Age of Ashes is completely free-to-play. In order to keep the experience fair and equitable, in-game purchases are purely cosmetic. Battles are won by skill and teamwork alone.

Century: Age of Ashes is coming to PC (Steam) on December 2, 2021.
