'Grand Theft Auto Online' Adds Extra Rewards in Payphone Hits and Gerald’s Last Play, Weapon Discounts And More

by Rainier on March 3, 2022 @ 10:26 a.m. PST

Set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and the surrounding area, Grand Theft Auto V delivers a world of unprecedented scale and detail bursting with life, from mountaintops to the depths of the ocean.

When a young street hustler, a retired bank robber and a terrifying psychopath find themselves entangled with some of the most frightening and deranged elements of the criminal underworld, the U.S. government and the entertainment industry, they must pull off a series of dangerous heists to survive in a ruthless city in which they can trust nobody, least of all each other.

Switch between the interconnected lives of Michael, Trevor and Franklin as they embark on a series of heists across Los Santos and Blaine County in the biggest, deepest and richest open world experience yet, with game world enhancements that include new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and an array of new details to discover.

Grand Theft Auto V also comes with Grand Theft Auto Online, the dynamic and ever-evolving online universe for up to 30 players, and includes all existing gameplay upgrades and content released since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online.

Rise through the ranks to become a CEO of your own criminal empire by trading contraband or form a Motorcycle Club and rule the streets. Pull off daring co-operative Heists, enter adrenaline-fueled Stunt Races, compete in unique Adversary Modes or create your own content to play and share with the entire GTA community.

After last week’s lucrative Security Contracts, the stakes are raised for Agency work in GTA Online: Payphone Hits will now reap an extra 50% GTA$ and RP, while completing three of them will award players a GTA$200K bonus.

For those who need an extra hand, Supply Stashes with ammo and health boosts are free this week and one phone call away.

  • Extra 50% GTA$ and RP on Payphone Hits
  • A bonus of GTA$200K for completing three Payphone Hits this week (delivered within 72 hours of completion)

Earn a Bonus on All Payphone Hits

Some business isn’t safe to discuss on an iFruit. The FIB has eyes and ears everywhere, after all. That’s why Franklin prefers calling his dirtiest business in on untraceable public lines.

Payphone Hits are lucrative, freelance assassinations available to Agency owners who’ve completed at least three Security Contracts. Help solidify your Agency’s reputation and complete any Payphone Hit this week to earn an extra 50% GTA$ and RP.

After successfully completing your first Hit, you’ll be able to call Franklin from anywhere in Freemode to request another. For the next seven days, Franklin expects to be inundated with client requests, so don’t be shy about calling often to check if there are any new hits available.

As always, completing optional Assassination Bonuses will beef up your payday. Regardless, players who complete three Payphone Hits this week will net an additional bonus of GTA$200K (delivered within 72 hours of completion).

There’s more than one reason to drop your new partner a line. If you find yourself in need of a care package in Freemode, call Franklin from your Contacts list to request a free Supply Stash filled with Grenades, Sticky Bombs, Ammo, Armor, and Health.

If you need even more firepower, invest in a personal Agency Armory and top up your Mk II ammo, unlock exclusive weapon finishes for hitting your targets, and more.

2X GTA$ and RP on Gerald’s Last Play Missions

Gerald’s looking to get out of the black market and go legit – keep an eye out for calls from the big man himself or give him a ring to help him out with any of his six Gerald’s Last Play Missions to earn 2X GTA$ and RP.

2X GTA$ and RP on Running Back (Remix)

This week marks the return of three action-packed multiplayer modes, each delivering a unique and distinct flavor of whiplash: Hunting Pack (Remix), Running Back (Remix), and Hippy Hunting.

Few traditions are as American as Running Back (Remix): a nimble Runner behind the wheel of a pint-sized Panto must face down a squad of imposing Tezeracts to reach the opposing team’s end zone. Win or lose, both sides will earn Double Rewards, all week long. Ready? Break.

3X GTA$ and RP on Business Battles

Reap Triple Rewards going up against your fellow entrepreneurs in Business Battles of all types, including Assassinations, Vehicle Exports, Car Meets, Merryweather Drops, and more.

3X GTA$ and RP on Criminal Damage

Also keep an eye out for the opportunity to cause wanton destruction in the Criminal Damage Freemode Event, also paying out 3X GTA$ and RP this week.

Car Meet Prize Ride: Dinka Sugoi

Out-maneuver your fellow racers and the LSPD by placing top 3 in Pursuit Races for 5 days in a row this week to take the Dinka Sugoi home for free.

Test Out the Dinka Sugoi, Annis S80RR, and Albany V-STR

Looking for a new whip? Swing by the Test Track in the LS Car Meet to give the Dinka Sugoi, Annis S80RR, and Albany V-STR a cursory spin before you commit to purchasing.

This Week on the Podium: The Vapid Flash GT

Make sure to stop by The Diamond Casino & Resort to give the Lucky Wheel its daily spin. This week’s top prize on the podium is the Vapid Flash GT, a hatchback that feels equally at home parked in a strip-mall lot or tearing up mud on an off-road rally course.
