'Hitman III' Details July Content, Adds New Ambrose Island Map And More

by Rainier on July 8, 2022 @ 7:02 a.m. PDT

Hitman World Of Assassination is the dramatic conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy, taking players around the world on a globetrotting adventure to sprawling sandbox locations, with Agent 47 returning for the most important contracts of his career.

Supported by his Agency handler, Diana Burnwood, Agent 47 joins forces with his long-lost friend Lucas Grey. Their ultimate mission is to eliminate the partners of Providence, but they are forced to adapt as their hunt intensifies. When the dust settles, 47 and the world he inhabits will never be the same again.

Featuring six meticulously detailed locations packed full of creative opportunities, Hitman III gives players the unrivaled freedom to complete their objectives in a game world that reacts to everything they do. All of this is made possible by IOI’s award-winning Glacier technology, which powers Hitman III’s immersive game world to offer unparalleled player choice and replayability.

Hitman III players can import locations from the previous games in the trilogy and have more than 20+ locations under one roof. All of the improvements to rendering, animation and AI introduced with Hitman III can be enjoyed across all three games, making Hitman III the ultimate place to play the entire World of Assassination trilogy.

HITMAN 3 Year 2 July Roadmap 2022.

The HITMAN 3 July Roadmap has arrived, better late than never. July in HITMAN 3 is going to be a very exciting month, with a brand new FREE location coming to all HITMAN 3 owners, a sharp-looking new Katana to unlock, Pirate-themed featured contracts, a Game Update and more.

Let’s take a closer look at what’s to come.

July 26: New Location Abrose Island

Discover the uncharted Ambrose Island as Agent 47, and help an old friend rectify his mistake. The tropical island is a hidden cove, home to a dangerous pirate syndicate operating in the Andaman Sea and to many hidden secrets.

This fully explorable sandbox location is packed with new targets, gameplay opportunities, challenges and unlockable rewards. Ambrose Island is free for all owners of HITMAN 3.

More information on the upcoming location will come closer to release.

July 7 Free Location Rotation: Bangkok

The Himmapan Hotel is your next destination on our free location rotation, where you get a taste of locations from across the World of Assassination.

This luxury hotel and spa in Bangkok is a beautiful and calm location, which makes it a popular destination for the upper class to unwind and celebrate their 27th birthdays. HITMAN 3 owners and Free Starter Pack players can enjoy this location for 10 days, starting on July 7.

July 8 Elusive Target: The Revolutionary (Year 2 Edition)

The now “fan favourite” Revolutionary is back! Vicente Murillo will be patrolling Santa Fortuna again, for 10 days. If you’ve tried this one before, you’ll know all about what to do. Good luck.

The Revolutionary will be active for 10 days starting July 8.

July 14: Elusive Target Arcade

On July 14 new Elusive Target Arcades will arrive. This time with a sharp new unlock. Complete any of the batches to unlock The Iridescent Katana.

Don’t be fooled by the colourful design. This is a deadly katana, that will make the blood you spill blend in beautifully with the motif of the blade.

July 15: Elusive Target: The Food Critic (Year 2 Edition)

Wen Ts’ai is one of the world’s most highly influential food critics. He has an incredible eye for detail and will criticise the smallest of errors. He recently acquired a security team to protect him whilst he samples the Himmapan Hotels award-winning dishes. This is your moment to strike.

If this is your first time playing an Elusive Target in Bangkok, the Casual Suit with Gloves will unlock if you complete the contract and make it out alive. Good luck.

July 21: Community Featured Contracts!

With Ambrose Island on the horizon, we’ll keep the featured contracts in the same theme. Pirates. Garrrgh!

How do you get your Contract Featured? Well, there are many ways to do so. Your contract can be based on a super creative briefing, a cool idea or just a plain fun challenge. But keep in mind: Your contract must be inspired by the theme to be considered.

Up for the challenge? Then keep an eye on hitmanforum for the submissions threads – for your chance to get your contract featured later in July.

Good luck matey!

July 26: Game Update 3.120 + Ambrose Island Release

Alongside the new location Ambrose Island we’ll also have a game update for HITMAN 3 arriving on July 26. This update will not only give you the new location, but also feature some community reported issues and some QoL improvements.

Patch Notes for Game Update 3.120 will be available July 26.

Hitman III’s sandbox locations give you complete freedom to approach your objectives in any way you want. As well as the new multi-function camera, you’ll also be able to interact with the game world in new ways to access new opportunities and paths through each level. Want to organize a meeting with your target? Check. How about opening elevator doors to access a new route? You can do that too and so much more.

As you explore each mission and complete challenges, you’ll rise through 20 Mastery tracks that will unlock new tools, weapons and even Starting Locations that will let you begin your next playthrough with a big advantage – possibly even in a disguise. All of the items and weapons that you unlock in a Mastery track are added to your permanent inventory, so you’ll be able to pick and choose from them no matter what mission you want to take on next.

Hitman III has been made with replayability front and center. You simply cannot see and do everything that a mission has to offer in a single playthrough, and the Mastery tracks keep things fresh as you take new approaches, use new items and discover previously unexplored areas.

Depending on how you choose to complete your objectives, you’ll be awarded with a Playstyle at the end of each mission. From the coveted Silent Assassin to a Hired Gun and everything in between, there’s a Hitman style for every player. Maybe you’re a Marksman?

Hitman III will have full PS VR support. Yes, that means you can traverse the outside of the tallest building in the (Hitman) world in PS VR! If you own the previous games from the trilogy on PS4, you can also access locations from them within Hitman III. That’s more than 20 Hitman locations from the World of Assassination trilogy to enjoy in PS VR.

You can either play Hitman III in PS VR natively on your PS4 or via backward compatibility on PS5. To make sure all PS VR owners can experience the game in VR, we’re including a free digital copy of the PS4 version of Hitman III with all PS5 copies, whether you choose to buy it via disc or digital.

Hitman III will look, sound and play better than ever with improvements to lighting, reflections, animation and AI. Chongqing also features full water effects, with details such as rain drops hitting Agent 47 and his clothes getting wet, all adding to the immersion of experiencing Hitman III.

On next-gen consoles, Hitman III will run in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second with HDR support.

Hitman III is currently available for Nintendo Switch (through Cloud Technology), PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC (Epic Games Store).
