Video Games in Concert Brings Renowned Orchestra To London With Music From Fortnite, Mario + Rabbids, Hades And More

Materia Music is pleased to support the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s presentation of its Video Games in Concert program, a live symphonic event featuring the biggest gaming franchises brought to life by some of the world's finest classical performers.

The Video Games in Concert show is set to take place on Tuesday, June 6 at 7:30 PM GMT at the renowned Royal Albert Hall in London.

The program features selections from a wide swath of hit titles, including World of Warcraft, Mario + Rabbids, Sea of Thieves, Hades, The Last of Us, Fortnite, and many more. The acclaimed Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra will be joined on stage by vocalists Aisling McGlynn (Chrono Cross) and Lauren McGlynn (Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Bayonetta Origins) and award-winning conductor and composer Eímear Noone (World of Warcraft), who is known for conducting game music concerts around the globe.

The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra (RPCO) is a dynamic and versatile ensemble that performs a wide range of styles and genres of music in shows across the UK and around the world. The Orchestra’s repertoire includes film music, videogame scores, music from the musicals, and symphonic arrangements of classic rock and pop songs, as well as new commissions and the traditional core classical repertoire, reaching an audience of over 170,000 live listeners per year. The Orchestra’s creative partnerships with artists, promoters and producers have resulted in ambitious performances in venues from vast arenas and main concert venues around the UK to smaller and more intimate settings. The RPCO aims to reach as wide and diverse an audience as possible and is unafraid to explore new orchestral experiences.

The Orchestra is a regular visitor to the Royal Albert Hall where it has premiered many films ‘Live in Concert’ such as The English Patient, Brassed Off! in a collaboration with the Grimethorpe Colliery Band, Skyfall, and the blockbuster Bollywood film Baahubali’ screened in the original language of Tamil. This Season sees the premiere of Wonder Woman, as well as the next instalments of the Harry Potter series and Lord of the Rings trilogy.
