by Rainier on Aug. 7, 2023 @ 2:39 p.m. PDT

QuakeCon is the ultimate video game festival and party, but after three years of digital-only events, the 28th Annual QuakeCon will mark the return of the beloved BYOC, in-person.

It's official! QuakeCon 2023 will mark the return of the beloved BYOC, in-person at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas from Thursday, August 10 through Sunday, August 13.

The iconic fan gathering welcomes back its dedicated community with a reimagined and upgraded BYOC (Bring-Your-Own-Computer) LAN party for four days of around-the-clock gaming, a host of fun activities, and meetups for old and new friends. In addition, as in recent years, a full slate of programming will be streamed live on Twitch from the BYOC floor for those unable to make the journey back to the QuakeCon homeland.

This year's QuakeCon will be a ticketed-only event with admittance limited to pre-registered BYOC guests. With this year’s focus on the in-person BYOC experience, there will be no exhibit hall, and no General Admission for QuakeCon 2023

This Thursday, following three years of digital-only events, QuakeCon 2023 welcomes back thousands of id Software fans to Texas with the return of the legendary BYOC, a slate of livestreaming programming, and the most skilled FPS Quake players in the world facing off in the Quake Pro League World Championship.

QuakeCon 2023 will be held at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas from Thursday, August 10 through Sunday, August 13.

BYOC guests will enjoy four days of non-stop LAN gaming, a slate of on-site activities including Tabletop Village, Free2PlayArcades, Console Village, and more, as well as a partner lounge featuring AMD, Alienware, NVIDIA, V1 Tech, noblechairs, and Ducky. Plus, visit the NVIDIA lounge to take the Ultimate KovaaK’s challenge and compete for exciting prizes.

Additional non-profits will be in attendance as well this year, including 1UpOnCancer, Extra Life, and Trans Lifeline.

Local animal rescue organization Dallas Pets Alive will once again be on-site with cute, fuzzy, furry friends looking for amazing new homes with gamers, and will be accepting donations for their ongoing support of local animals.
