You wake up at an abandoned train station in Krat, a city overwhelmed by madness and bloodlust. In front of you lies a single note that reads:

"Find Mr. Geppetto. He's here in the city."

Built from the ground up using Unreal Engine 4, Lies Of P tells the story of Pinocchio like you’ve never seen it before. As Pinocchio himself, you must navigate through a dark Belle Epoque world where all of humanity is lost. The once beautiful city of Krat has become a living hell, and you must find the famed Mr. Geppetto to unravel the mystery of what happened to both yourself and the world around you.

As the puppet mechanoid Pinocchio, you will wind your way through the streets of a ruined city, crafting weapons from the materials you find in the world, and interacting with the remaining few who manage to survive in this pre-industrial hellscape. The more you lie, the more human you become, with all the advantages and disadvantages that it entails. But don't expect any help along the way and don't make the mistake of trusting anyone. A richly detailed crafting system, profound narrative choices, and deeply customizable character progression round out the RPG features in Lies of P.

NEOWIZ has released new Lies of P gameplay videos showcasing the unique Weapon Assembly system, as well as gameplay video of Legion Arms players can equip as they battle through Krat.

In the first video released last night, fans can get familiar with the bevy of choices available in the game as they mix handles and blades to create complete new weapons. Highlights include: “Bone-Cutting Sawblade and Carcass Crystal Axe Handle”, “Coil Mjolnir Head and Big Pipe Wrench Handle”, “Dancer's Curved Sword Blade and Booster Glaive Handle”, and many more.

In the second video players get a first-look a Legion Arms. Legion Arms are a unique gameplay mechanic in Lies of P where players can equip and upgrade various mechanical arms, each with distinctive abilities and uses in combat. The Legion Arms include “Falcon Eyes”, which shoots out an explosive charge that implants itself into enemies, “Flamberge”, which emits a continuous wave of fire, “Aegis”, which allows players to guard attacks using an incendiary shield, and five others. The Legion Arms provide players with even more freedom during combat encounters by introducing greater character customization to suit multiple playstyles.

NEOWIZ also shared a showcase video highlighting some of the most menacing unique enemies and spectacular boss battles players can discover in the highly-anticipated Pinocchio-inspired Souls-like title, Lies of P. 

From horrendous mutated monsters to the King of Puppets himself, the video demonstrates the sheer variety of combat encounters and the impressive scale of boss fights found within Lies of P, with many more still to be discovered in the full game.

Pre-orders for the digital standard edition come with the “Mischievous Puppet’s Set” outfit, while the  deluxe edition adds the “Great Venigni’s Set” outfit, a unique mask, and grants players access to the game three days early! The physical version is presented in an exclusive SteelBook® tome-inspired collector’s box alongside a 92-page artbook. Bonus digital items include the original soundtrack and “The Great Venigni's Set” outfit and a unique mask to be worn to the festival. A physical standard edition is also available.

Lies Of P is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (Xbox Game Pass at launch) and PC (Steam) on September 19, 2023.
