Guide Mario as you puzzle your way through over 130 levels to rescue the Mini-Mario toys!

Donkey Kong has stolen all the Mini-Mario toys from the factory, and it’s up to Mario to get them back! Run, jump, and backflip your way to retrieving them across over 130 levels in this puzzle-style twist on classic platforming action.

The rivalry that originally heated up on the Game Boy™ Advance system returns on the Nintendo Switch™ system with newly added co-op play, brand-new worlds, updated music and visuals, and other new ways to play.

Put your brain to work and figure out the best way to reach the Mini-Mario toys in puzzle-platforming challenges across eight distinct worlds. Watch for enemies, dodge hazards, and use the tools scattered around. See if you can earn a Perfect rating on each level!

Observe your surroundings and plan your actions carefully to collect the key and rescue the Mini-Mario.

In some levels, you'll have to lead a pack of the mechanical fellas through perilous places. Try to collect all the letter blocks and then safely guide as many Mini-Marios as you can into their toy box!

The Mini-Mario toys need your help! When Donkey Kong raids the Mario Toy Factory and makes off with the merchandise, Mario has to once again face his biggest rival – But wait!

Why are we telling you all of this?

You can dive in and try it for yourself right now!

Starting today, visit the Nintendo eShop to download a free demo of four levels from the first world of Mario vs. Donkey Kong.

Solve puzzles and overcome platforming challenges to rescue the Mini-Marios and thwart Donkey Kong. The demo also gives you a first look at the new Two Player mode, where you can share one of your Joy-Con controllers with a friend and team up as Mario and Toad.

You will also have access to the game’s new difficulty settings in single-player mode – choose Classic Style to experience the same difficulty level as the original Game Boy Advance version, or (if you still have fresh memories of struggling with certain levels) you can try Casual Style with no time limit and the ability to restart from checkpoints.

At the end of each world, use everything you’ve learned to defeat Donkey Kong in an arcade-inspired platforming battle. Don’t go easy on him because he certainly won’t go easy on you!

A second player can join the fun as Toad on the same system in Two-Player Mode! Put your heads together to solve any of the more than 130 levels. You might even notice some differences in them when you buddy up.

Find your favorite way to play with a variety of styles, challenges, and modes.

  • Classic Style: Take on levels in a traditional timed experience similar to the original Game Boy Advance game. One hit and you're out.
  • Casual Style: for a more relaxed experience, this style of play removes the timer, adds checkpoints, and boosts the number of times Mario can get hit.
  • Plus Worlds: Kick up the heat with dozens more advanced levels across trickier versions of the eight worlds.
  • Expert Levels: Earn enough ratings to unlock one of these 16 challenging levels. They'll really push your puzzle-solving abilities to the limit!
  • Time Attack: Put your skills to the ultimate test! Revisit levels after clearing the main game and try to beat the clock in this unlockable mode. Don't you date dwadle!

In addition to familiar worlds like Mario Toy Company, Donkey Kong Jungle, and Mystic Forest, you can enjoy two new themed locations (Merry Mini-Land & Slippery Summit) filled with new obstacles and challenges.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong is coming to Nintendo Switch on February 16, 2024 at $49.99.
