'Grand Theft Auto Online' Rolls Out Bottom Dollar Bounties Content Update

by Rainier on June 25, 2024 @ 7:00 a.m. PDT

Set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and the surrounding area, Grand Theft Auto V delivers a world of unprecedented scale and detail bursting with life, from mountaintops to the depths of the ocean.

When a young street hustler, a retired bank robber and a terrifying psychopath find themselves entangled with some of the most frightening and deranged elements of the criminal underworld, the U.S. government and the entertainment industry, they must pull off a series of dangerous heists to survive in a ruthless city in which they can trust nobody, least of all each other.

Switch between the interconnected lives of Michael, Trevor and Franklin as they embark on a series of heists across Los Santos and Blaine County in the biggest, deepest and richest open world experience yet, with game world enhancements that include new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and an array of new details to discover.

Grand Theft Auto V also comes with Grand Theft Auto Online, the dynamic and ever-evolving online universe for up to 30 players, and includes all existing gameplay upgrades and content released since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online.

Rise through the ranks to become a CEO of your own criminal empire by trading contraband or form a Motorcycle Club and rule the streets. Pull off daring co-operative Heists, enter adrenaline-fueled Stunt Races, compete in unique Adversary Modes or create your own content to play and share with the entire GTA community.

After a dedicated career tracking down the state’s most wanted, notorious bounty hunter Maude Eccles is hanging up her cuffs and offering a golden opportunity to those with a burning passion for justice in GTA Online: Bottom Dollar Bounties, now available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

As the new lead dog for Bottom Dollar Bail Enforcement, link up with the Junior Assistant Bounty Hunter in training — Maude’s daughter Jenette — to run this clean-up crew, taking down an assortment of valuable targets, including some of Southern San Andreas’ Most Wanted. Become just the type of agent of justice the state needs by tracking down and hauling in these dangerous miscreants — utilizing everything from ruthless intimidation tactics to thwarting further criminal activity — in the latest action-packed addition to GTA Online.

In this summer’s update, LSPD officer Vincent Effenburger also needs your help in new off-the-books Dispatch Work. Plus, enjoy a wide assortment of new rides including new Law Enforcement Vehicles, new Drift Tuning upgrades for select vehicles, as well as new tools and props in the Creator.

There’s also a collection of new benefits for GTA+ Members that include the convenient Vinewood Club phone app, a free Överflöd Pipistrello super car that’s available exclusively to GTA+ Members this week, and more.

Set Up Shop

The Bottom Dollar Bail Enforcement Office provides everything you need to start hauling in bounties and earning a hero’s wage. After Maude makes contact, visit Maze Bank Foreclosures to choose from an assortment of available locations. Each one includes a Bail Enforcement System computer that lists available targets to choose from: three Standard Targets and one Most Wanted Target.

There’s also a holding cell for those you’ve apprehended, CCTV access, a safe, and a garage space with room for two Personal Vehicles and the Bottom Dollar-branded Bail Enforcement van used for shepherding captured criminals. Customize your office by choosing one of three different styles, up to two additional staff members for boosting efficiency, a gun locker, and armor plating for your van.

Los Santos Most Wanted

While Standard Targets are more likely to be your garden variety lowlifes, the Most Wanted Targets are the upper echelon of criminal scum: CEOs, movie stars, legendary street racers, and the like. Most Wanted Targets can be completed once per day, while ambitious bounty hunters can wrangle as many Standard Targets as they want.

It also pays to remember this ain’t the Wild West — both Standard and Most Wanted Targets are considerably more valuable alive than dead, so be cautious when doling out lethal force, even when dealing with the most intense stand-offs. Non-lethal equipment like the Stun Gun can prove useful when attempting to subdue targets. You can use the Bail Enforcement van to safely haul live Bounties back to your holding cell, or if need be, deliver their remains to LS County Coroners.

Street Justice

The Eccles family aren’t the only ones trying to clean up Los Santos. Vincent’s become frustrated recently by the LSPD’s corruption, and he’s not above asking for help.

To take part in new Dispatch Work in Freemode, meet with Vincent and make sure you’ve completed the Slush Fund mission in The Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid to unlock any of the three new Law Enforcement Vehicles available today at Warstock Cache & Carry, or use previously unlocked Law Enforcement Vehicles like the Stanier LE Cruiser and Unmarked Cruiser from The Chop Shop, or the Bravado Gauntlet Interceptor from The Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid.

Once inside an eligible vehicle, you can request Dispatch Work or accept Vincent’s invitation. Moonlighting as an off-the-books enforcer does require you to keep a low profile — so retire your CEO, VIP, or MC President status before taking on Dispatch Work.

New Law Enforcement Vehicles

This update also adds a trio of Law Enforcement Vehicles requisitioned from local authorities that are useful for aspiring vigilantes, and also allow you to take part in Dispatch Work for Vincent:

  • Declasse Impaler SZ Cruiser
  • Bravado Greenwood Cruiser
  • Bravado Dorado Cruiser

Available now to purchase from Warstock Cache & Carry if you've completed the Slush Fund mission in The Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid.

New Vehicles

GTA Online: Bottom Dollar Bounties features a collection of versatile new vehicles across an assortment of classes. The luxurious Enus Paragon S (Sports) and the stunning Bollokan Envisage (Sports) are both tremendously capable off the lot, and made even more powerful with Imani Tech modifications available at your Agency.

The Übermacht Niobe (Sports) is the best of both worlds: gas-guzzling speed and power with a hybrid’s superiority complex, while the Annis Euros X32 (Coupe) is a new spin on a glorious classic. On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, take either of these to Hao’s Special Works for a full suite of cosmetic and performance overhauls.

Today’s update also introduces the curvaceous Invetero Coquette D1 (Sports Classic) and the rugged Declasse Yosemite 1500 (Off-Road).

Drift Tuning Updates

Take on the city’s drift racing scene by installing Drift Tuning in three newly eligible vehicles — the Vulcar Nebula Turbo (Sports Classic), Übermacht Cypher (Sports), and Übermacht Sentinel Classic Widebody (Sports). Plus, drift fanatics can get seen on the scene with an assortment of bold new liveries only available for vehicles with Drift Tuning.
