Tantalus Interactive today announced an impressive line-up of titles to be premiered at this year’s E3. Four Tantalus games will make their mark at the show, a noteworthy achievement given that Tantalus is comprised of less than forty developers working out of Melbourne, Australia. Since its establishment in 1994, Tantalus has released close to twenty games, including the highly successful Manx TT Superbike on Saturn and more recently Space Race on PlayStation2.

Spearheading the Tantalus charge this E3 is Top Gear Rally on Game Boy Advance, a ground breaking racing title that looks set to rate as the best in its genre at the show. Tantalus CEO Tom Crago is particularly excited
about this release. “We really think this one stands out. The 3D cars look amazing, the environments are
incredibly detailed, and the overall feel of the game is more akin to a console title than a handheld. You
really have to play it to appreciate how much of a step up it is from other GBA racing titles.”

The full list of Tantalus releases is as follows:

Woody Woodpecker in Crazy Castle 5 will be shown at the Kemco booth, alongside Top Gear Rally. Also featuring the proprietary Tantalus CRIS 3D game engine, Woody is a platformer with incredible depth and great gameplay variety. The Woody character has seven unique variations, enabling him to fly and swim, as
well as run, all in fluid 3D. Monster Truck Madness, to be released in June by THQ will only be shown behind closed doors to select media and buyers.
As well as three high-profile GBA releases, Tantalus is also excited to announce its first original title for PS2 and X-Box. An early demo for Metal Shell will be shown at the Tantalus stand in the South Hall. For more information about Metal Shell, and to download a press release, visit www.metal-shell.com
