'Runbow' (WiiU) Will Have Online Multiplayer, Demo On eShop - Trailer

by Rainier on June 17, 2015 @ 11:06 a.m. PDT

Runbow is a fast paced, action party game with a never before seen color mechanic.

Up-to nine players race against each other as platforms and obstacles appear and disappear when the background changes vibrant colors. Players can sprint against each other in Run, or go head-to-head in one of Runbow’s six additional modes, including Arena, King of the Hill, ColourMaster and The Bowhemoth.

Indie developer 13AM Games released a special demo for Wii U exclusively on the Nintendo eShop.

If you haven’t experienced the up-to nine player racing action that takes place across a never-before seen color mechanic where platforms and obstacles appear and disappear while the background cycles through a series of vibrant colors, then you’re in for a treat and some solid good times.

Time is ticking, as the demo is only available for download on the Wii U until June 22.

In addition to having a never-before seen color mechanic and the only nine-player local multiplayer on Wii U, Runbow will also launch with online multiplayer and the new single-player Adventure Mode.

“There’s no better way to explain Runbow other than getting some hands-on time with the game,” said Dave Proctor, Co-Founder of 13AM Games. “At every show we attend we get to see it elicit crazy amounts of laughter and frustration, and now people get to experience Runbow’s couch multiplayer action on their Wii U at home, alone or with friends, in Adventure mode and our classic Run mode. With this special demo preview, Wii U players will get to try the first ever nine-player multiplayer, totally free of charge.”   As an added perk, fans who download the Runbow demo during this exclusive preview period will also be entitled to a 15% discount of the full version game upon release on the Nintendo eShop later this year.
