20. 'Too Human' (X360)

by Rainier on Jan. 1, 2006 @ 1:30 a.m. PST

As the Cybernetic God Baldur, players are thrust into the midst of an ongoing battle that threatens the existence of mankind. An ancient machine presence has forced the God's hand. In the first of a three part trilogy, Baldur is charged with defending mankind from an onslaught of monstrous war machines bent on eradication of human life.

Genre: Action

Release Date: October 1, 2006

Chad "Wudi" Crawford: Admittedly, not much is known about Too Human at this point. Could it be the 360's God of War? It's possible, but definitely too early to call. I can't help but feel good about this title, though. Chalk this up to the short but oh-so-sweet trailer that showcased the cybernetic god Baldur's impressive melee and ranged combat capabilities as he defends mankind from an onslaught of robotic war machines. With Silicon Knights (developers of Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and Eternal Darkness) behind it, chances are good that we'll be talking about Too Human around this time next year, but in our top games of 2006 feature.

Thomas Wilde: I'll be frank with you. I've been looking forward to Silicon Knights' next game since I played Eternal Darkness, and Too Human looks interesting. Yeah, it's an Unreal Engine game, but I have a lot of faith in Silicon Knights' ability to deliver a solid story wrapped in equally solid action. At this point, you can put me down for "tentatively interested" since so little's known about the game, but I'll be first in line when preview code arrives.
