Mark Buckingham: The first season of The Walking Dead grabbed players and tugged at their hearts like no other game in recent memory, much to everyone's surprise. It was the breakout hit of last year, and if TellTale sticks to its guns, the second season should be better, perhaps surpassing even the show in popularity in certain circles.
Dustin Chadwell: Telltale's The Walking Dead took just about everyone by surprise and ended up on a lot of GOTY lists across the world, clocking in at third place on Worthplaying's top games of 2012. I'm really looking forward to the second chapter. We know next to nothing about it at this point, but if it's going to deliver more of the same fantastic storytelling that was featured in the first season, count me in.
Tony "OUberLord" Mitera: As a game, Walking Dead was pretty bare-bones and didn't feature a ton of gameplay. What made the game one of the best of 2012 wasn't how it had some new feature or other window dressing, but how it developed and had you deal with the characters. Much as in the source material, the focus is on the relationships between the people who are trying to survive and the hard choices that they constantly have to make. It is rare to have a game with so much emotional depth, and I absolutely cannot wait to see what hell Season 2 puts me through, let alone the characters in it.
Thomas Wilde: I know next to nothing about Season 2 as I'm writing this, but I really want to know what happens next with Clementine. The Walking Dead franchise has failed to grip me lately with the notable exception of the first season of the game, and that ended on an uncertain note. At this point, I'm interested in whatever happens next, up to and including Season 2, starting 10 years in the future and starring Clementine in a cyborg body.
