Sacred 2 is a action-oriented deep fantasy RPG where players are immersed in an epic journey through the medieval-like kingdom of Ancaria featuring pitched battles and a wide range of enticing quests. Originally scheduled for Q1 2008, Ascaron revealed that it's pushing back the release until Sept. 2008 to in order to ensure the best possible quality and stability. Tomorrow Harmonix will released five new songs for Rock Band, downloadable through Xbox Live (next week on PlayStation Network). Late last night, there was a little bit of a stir when
Reuters ran a story based on an article that appeared in the
Indian edition of the Economic Times newspaper stating that India's Zapak Digital Entertainment, part of the Anil Ambani-led ADAG group, was about to acquire Sony Online Entertainment for $300 million. Shortly thereafter, SOE CEO John Smedley
strongly denied the rumor, "No idea who made this up. We are in discussions with various companies in India about bringing our games to this growing market but that's it. We aren't for sale."

Kristin Kreuk, known as Lana Lang in the CW's "Smallville" TV series, has been
selected to play Chun-Li as she embarks on a quest for justice, in the upcoming movie adaptation of Capcom's Street Fighter. Filming will commence in Thailand next March (scheduled for a 2009 release), and it will be directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, who has recently at the helm of the game-to-movie adaptation of id software's DOOM (starring The Rock), Exit Wounds and Romeo Must Die.
