'Jack the Ripper' Ships To Stores

The Adventure Company* today announced that it has shipped Jack the Ripper on PC-CD. This compelling adventure is based on a young reporter, Jimmy Palmer, who is writing a story about a series of gruesome murders in the Low Side District of New York. He soon begins a dangerous dialogue with a mysterious character and his obsession with this dark relationship compels him to seek out the evil killer.

In Sacred the player can choose from 6 playable characters, each with their own individual characteristics and style. The more reserved role-player might prefer the Battle Mage or the Wood Elf, while admirers of traditional fantasy characters can take on the role of the Gladiator or Dark Elf. Along the way they get caught up in an even bigger plot that has even larger repercussions for the Realms. The gang traverses all kinds of locations, including Damara, Vaasa, and the Jungles of Chult. Stormfront Studios' Forgotten Realms uses an enhanced version of The Two Towers engine. resulting in some of the most excellent graphics to date.

The online signup pages for the World of Warcraft Beta Test are now live! Anytime between now and 6:00 pm PST on Wednesday, February 4th, residents of Canada, Korea, and the US can submit their applications for a chance to help test one of the most anticipated massively multiplayer online role-playing games of 2004. Applicants in Korea should sign up at the Korean Blizzard website.

'Nightshade' (PS2) - Screens

"Nightshade" is the official name for the upcoming PS2 title formerly known as "Kunoichi" (it remains "Kunoichi" in Japan). Players take on the role of the sexy and dangerous female ninja Hibana as she battles legions of demonic foes with unlimited combo attacks and powerful ninja magic. Developed by SEGA's Overworks studio, "Nightshade" is slated to be released in early Q1 04. Read more for details and new screens.

'Painkiller' - Site Revamped & Demo Date

Dreamcatcher sent out word that they have revamped the Painkiller website, People Can Fly's upcoming First Person Shooter. To get your fill of gameplay movies soaked in bloody, squishy footprints, never before seen renders of vicious, hungry monsters, heart-stopping sound-files, the full, entirely gruesome storyline and the first opportunity to PRE-ORDER (More info on pre-order campaign coming next week). The Painkiller website also mentions that the official Painkiller Single-Player Demo will be released Feb 16th, but it seems the full game has been slightly delayed until April 12th.
