Survey Reveals 35% of Parents Play Video Games

A survey conducted by Peter D. Hart Research Associates reveals 35% of American parents play computer and video games, out of which 80% claim that they play video games with their children, and two-thirds (66%) feel that playing games has brought their families closer together.

Topware and Stardock Sign Digital Delivery Agreement

Stardock and TopWare announced they have reached an agreement to bring many of TopWare’s games to the TotalGaming.net online distribution service. Titles like Earth 2160 and Xpand Rally will be sold at a significant savings over the shrink-wrapped boxed games, and will become available at regular intervals in the coming weeks, starting with Earth 2150 Trilogy and Chrome SpecForce.

Disappointed in the current state of the beta, a large number of HOMM community sites have started a petition to pressure UbiSoft to delay the game, giving developer Nival ample time to optimize the title and add the promised features.

Legendo Entertainment today released an updated demo for The Three Musketeers, where you play as one of the Three Musketeers, allowing you to try out part of the game. You, playing as Portos, famed member of the Musketeers, have to save the day in the first game ever based on the world-famous novel by Alexandre Dumas.

'Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII' (X360/Xbox) Also Coming To PC

After originally being an Xbox only game, then adding Xbox 360 to the mix, it seems Ubisoft is now also getting ready to release Blazing angels on the PC. Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII is an internally developed action-filled flight combat game, and scheduled for March 2006.

'The King of Fighters Neowave' (Xbox) - 41 New Screens

KOF Neowave features 12 three-man teams made up of some of the greatest characters from SNK's 11-year history, including the Women Fighters Team and the Fatal Fury Team. Neowave features three modes of play - Super Cancel, Guard Break, and Max2. A new "Heat Mode" lets players power up their attacks in exchange for a gradual loss of health.

Nintendo DS Lite Announced

Nintendo Japan announced today it will launch a high-end version of its Nintendo DS portable game machine on March 2 in Japan, which will be thinner and lighter than the existing model. The Nintendo DS Lite will be sold for 16,800 yen ($145) versus 15,000 yen for the existing model, and weighs 218 grams compared to 275 grams for the Nintendo DS.
