Acquired by Eidos in 2007, in order to boost its casual mobile gaming market share, Rockpool Games employees have been made redundant and the Manchester development studio has been shut down according to Bill Harbison, a former employee. Eidos has now confirmed the closure blaming the "incredibly challenging and competitive times" so it can keep its costs under control.
