A Forbes article taking a look at the future of gaming includes some quotes from Nintendo president Satoru Iwata who revealed that, "We are always preparing for the next hardware. We are under development. This time around, it happened to be we had a revolutionary user interface. Will it be the same for the next generation? I really can't tell. If the people are expecting so many different things from Nintendo, it's going to be difficult for us to go beyond that expectation again."

'Fable 2' (X360) to Get Several More Sequels

Set 500 years after the original game, Fable 2 will offer even more choices and features, while building on the core gameplay theme of Fable where every choice continually defines who you become, allowing you to truly live the life you choose. In a recent interview Peter Molyneux revealed that Lionhead has "got plans for Fable 3, 4, and 5. It's a big story arc, and you can see, if you play Fable 2, you can recognize things from Fable 1, so that's pretty exciting."

EA Delays 'Tiberium', 'Battlefield Heroes' But PC Sports Games Back Next Year

EA's Q1 2009 financial result shows that the company doubled its revenue ($804 million compared to last year's $395 million), mainly driven by Battlefield: Bad Company and UEFA EURO 2008, and Rock Band, while Boom Blox so far sold 450k copies. The investors conference call had less positive news as EA has decided to delay its free-to-play online FPS Battlefield Heroes in order to give the devs more time to implement community features, as well as Tiberium, its FPS set in the C&C universe, from its scheduled late 2008 until fiscal 2009, which runs anywhere from April 1, 2009 to March 31, 2010. However sports fans will be delighted to know that next year Madden, NBA Live and NCAA Football are coming back to the PC with expanded online features.

Nintendo Teams Up With 54 Other Companies In Piracy Lawsuit

Nintendo filed suit in the Tokyo District Court against several companies that sell DS flash cart units (R4 Revolution / CycloDS Evolution), which allow homebrew material but are also used to load pirated games. According to Japanese news service Nikkei Net, Nintendo did not fly solo, as it was joined by 54 other companies such as Capcom, JNH Co., Sega. SNK and Square Enix. While Nintendo has sold in excess of 70 million NDSes, it claims that piracy cost the company, and its partners, $1 billion in 2007.

Master of the Monster Lair is a dungeon-designing, monster-hunting RPG adventure. In order to trap the freeloading monsters of South Arc, you must become the architect of a vast labyrinth, crafting intricate levels designed to lure and capture all manner of beasts. Yesterday Activision revealing only a handful Vivendi titles would remain in its lineup, causing a frenzy by not mentioning the fate of such titles like WiC, WET, Ghostbusters, etc. Double Fine's Brütal Legend was also MIA, but today Tim Schafer issued a very brief statement simply saying "Brütal Legend is fine." Activision dropping those high-profile titles does not mean they are canceled; they will most likely get picked up by another department (Sierra, Activision Value) or third party.
