The Elemental is a total conversion of Gas Powered Games Dungeon Siege. Elemental is set in an alternate mythical version of ancient Judea that is gritty, mean, and profane. This final release adds two new player character races, Mantis and Human Female, as well as a host of other fixes and improvements too numerous to mention. After two and a half years of development, the team is calling it quits, so enjoy this final product.

Starting now and ending in the middle of December, a few lucky testers will be selected to
participate in the Elemental Wars beta test. Testing will include exciting head to head play via peer to peer and in the Playful Minds game lobby. Also testers will be asked to outwit the challenging computer players who have three levels of difficulty. Active, selected testers will receive a free copy of the game plus be given in game testing credits.

Atari today announced plans to develop a patch for its recently released PC game, The Temple of Elemental Evil, set in the Dungeons & Dragons World of Greyhawk created by Wizards of the Coast. The patch, which is initially slated to release later this month, will address a number of issues associated with the retail release of the product, including: technical fixes and general fine tuning; a variety of quest clarifications; corrections for some race and class inconsistencies, such as miscalculated attack modifiers and incorrect weapon and spell use; as well as a number of interface updates. Of course we'll have it on our fileserver network as soon as its available!

Already revealed yesterday but Atari and Troika Games are pleased to announce that development is complete on The Temple of Elemental Evil for PC CD-ROM. Published by Wizards of the Coast, the World of Greyhawk, remains one of the most popular Dungeons & DragonsĀ® campaign settings of all time and will make its first interactive appearance with the September 23rd release of The Temple of Elemental Evil. The Temple of Elemental Evil will feature an exciting party-based single player campaign, an engaging storyline based on the classic D&DĀ® adventure of the same name as well as a faithful translation of the latest 3.5 edition rules. The U.S. launch of the game to retail outlets nationwide will occur on September 23, 2003.

Gamespy has word that Troika's D&D RPG Greyhawk: The Temple of Elemental Evil has gone gold. Wnen we contacted an Atari spokes person they declined to comment only to say "maybe, maybe not .. you'll know more tomorrow" so it is safe to assume the official announcement will be made tomorrow. The newest issue of Computer Games magazine has a brief article on an upcoming Dungeons & Dragons PC RPG called "The Temple Of Elemental Evil". Based on a classic 1985 D&D pen-and-paper module from its creator Gary Gygax, the article states that the developer of the game will be Trokia, who previously developed the "steampunk" RPG Arcanum. The game is scheduled to be released via publisher Infogrames in the latter half of 2003, according to the report (
