Gamers with an appetite for destruction will soon be able to carve their way through the armies of the evil with the announcement that Vivendi Universal Games' Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer has arrived on retail shelves. Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer, the sequel to last year's sleeper hit Hunter: The Reckoning, returns players to the White Wolf gothic fantasy world where an elite team of monster hunters attempt to stop a preternatural onslaught from engulfing the innocent town of Ashcroft. The high speed hack n' slash game-play has been emblazed with a multitude of additional features including a new playable character, new combat moves for all the characters, new edges (spells), new weapons, new monsters and bosses. Additional costume sets for all of the Hunters will be available at launch via Xbox Live.

Vivendi Universal Games announced today that Hunter: The Reckoning Wayward for the PS2 has shipped to retail. This fast-paced hack n' slash game marks the introduction of the gothic fantasy world of Hunter: The Reckoning based on White Wolf's pen and paper RPG, to the platform. With one of five playable Hunters, gamers will battle hordes of monsters with an arsenal of deadly weapons. Vivendi and Interplay today announced the development of Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer, developed by High Voltage Software exclusively for the Xbox. Based on the gothic world of White Wolf's pen and paper role-playing games, Hunter: The Reckoning is returning to Xbox fueled with more intense action than the original. An all-new character joins the original team of four to destroy hordes of new supernatural enemies in never before seen areas.
