Blockbuster will offer consumers one-stop shopping for their online video game and movie rental needs. The pilot program, which will be launched during the second quarter, will allow select Blockbuster Total Access online customers to rent video games, as well as movies, through the mail as part of their subscription plan.

A leaked Blockbuster memo
reveals that it will be dropping the price of the discontinued 40GB PS3 model from $360 to $299. The 40GB model has been replaced by an $500 80GB version, which lacks two USB ports and backward compatibility with PS2 titles, but that model is also getting replaced later this year by a higher end version with a 160GB HD. SCEA has stated in the past that it would not drop the price of the PS3, so this is probably just a move to clear the old stock.

As Sony's PSP becomes more mainstream and owners look for more gaming action, Blockbuster announces today that it will carry PSP for rent in all stores. More than 4,400 company-owned stores nationwide will carry the games by May 17 and the selection will continue to increase as new titles launch throughout the year.

Konami of America, today revealed the song list featured in the ground-breaking new game, Karaoke Revolution for the Sony PlayStation2. As North America's first-ever interactive karaoke game, Karaoke Revolution uses a headset microphone and proprietary "voice analyzer" technology to measure the player's pitch and rhythm in order to deliver a score.
