Entertainment software publishers NovaLogic Ltd. and HD Interactive today announced that the release of a performance fix for Devastation, a team based first person shooter built on the heavily modified, next-generation Unreal Engine technology. The fix increases the performance of the game and is 300k to download..

NovaLogic and HD Interactive today announced the
winner of the Devastation online graffiti competition. The contest received a staggering response with over 1100 graffiti entries. "With such a high quality competition, choosing the winner has been a very hard process" commented European Marketing Manager Lucinda Searle "We were astounded by the high standard of art work submitted".

HD Interactive/Digitalo have released a new patch for their FPS Devastation. This patch brings your retail game to v390 and works for all editions except the French and Russian one's. An initiative of developer Digitalo, the patch mostly addresses many of the single player issues reported since launch in April 2003. Digitalo has released a dedicated Windows server for the retail edition of Devastation, the new first-person shooter by Digitalo Studios. The server is compatible with clients updated to the latest (version 380) patch, and word is that running a devastation server is very much like running a UT2003 server, so most of the stuff at UnrealAdmin.org is relevant. ARUSH Entertainment let us know that they hope to finish the promised update patch for their recently released FPS Devastation by Monday. Below is a list of things that will be included in the upcoming patch for Devastation. You will be autonotified when you go online that the patch is available, and it will be an easy install process that the system will do for you. A lot of this is MP related, but weapon sound changes and other things are SP too. The filters for the MP browsers is something that is desperately needed. Entertainment software publisher NovaLogic Ltd. today announced that they are teaming up with Jolt.co.uk to launch the Official UK Devastation Death Match Demo tournament. The tournament will take place on Saturday 5th April. After Qualifying rounds the top four players from each qualifier will compete in the final with the winner and runner-up decided by their total score over two maps. Prizes include a AMD XP2500+ processor, Broadband JOLT ADSL line, BMX bike and limited edition Devastation merchandise. Servers will be open from 13.00 GMT and to participate players should join one of the servers and devastate the opposition in 15 minutes of pure mayhem.

The demo lets gamers play Devastation’s “Streetwar” (just like Deathmatch) and Capture the Flag game types over a LAN or online. The majority has spoken. Apparently this was a legitimate enough gripe and we will comply like the good developers we are trying to be. Most of the weapon sounds will be given an overhaul, with more bass, and pitch adjustments. I cannot promise anything but these changes should be in the full patch.
