Stream Theory Picks Up Hip Interactive titles

Stream Theory today announced that it has signed a worldwide content provider agreement with Hip Interactive Europe, giving Stream Theory the license to popular PC games including the recently released Stolen and CT Special Forces: Fire For Effect as well as the upcoming release Garfield: Saving Arlene.

While already revealed by Kuju, Hip Interactive Europe confirms today that it will no longer publish George A. Romero's City of The Dead as as it had concerns over the quality of the development. Hip Interactive Europe confirms the continuation of its publishing and distribution businesses across Europe and confirms the upcoming releases, this Fall, of its line-up with titles such as Rugby Challenge 2006, and Garfield "Saving Arlene".

Hip Interactive Europe will pursue its activities as a publisher, a distributor as well as a peripheral provider. Hip Interactive Europe confirms the upcoming releases, end of September, of its line-up with titles such as Rugby Challenge 2006, Garfield "Saving Arlene" as well as its exciting line of accessories for all consoles including the Sony PSP handheld. Hip Interactive Europe is home to a number of high profile games such as George A. Romero's City of the Dead, Ghost Wars, and Call of Cthulhu Destiny's End, which will be released as expected in 2006.

In a surprising turn of events, Hip Interactive announced today that its discussions with a third party to provide interim relief in respect of the Company's immediate financing needs were not successful and that the Company no longer has sufficient cash available to it to pay its liabilities as they become due. Hip recently unveiled its strongest lineup of titles yet with Call of Cthulhu: Destiny's End, City of the Dead, and Ghost Wars.

Whiptail Interactive Signs 'Restricted Area' - Screens

Whiptail Interactive announced today that it will publish Restricted Area in North America. Developed by Master Creating, Restricted Area recently shipped in Germany where it enjoyed a warm reception from both press and consumers alike; being nominated in five categories for the 2004 German Developer Awards, including Best PC Game, Best Game Characters, and Best Story/Gameworld. The action RPG title will ship in the US late in the first quarter of 2005 for the PC.

European videogame publisher L.S.P. announced today that Hip Interactive Corp. completed the acquisition of all the issued and outstanding shares of L.S.P. Hip Interactive Corp. is a leading North American provider of electronic entertainment products. In fiscal 2003 Hip generated sales of Cdn $361,3 million, producing net income after taxes of $11 million.

Whiptail Interactive, a global publisher of PC games, today announced its Q4 2003 lineup. The slate will include arcade-style racing with R.C. Cars, action-adventure with Blade & Sword and the much anticipated POSTAL 2 Gold Edition, which will include the long-awaited multiplayer feature. These three exciting titles will ship to retail stores nationwide in October and November 2003.
Namco & Hip Interactive Deal To Bring Video Game Franchises To PC

Namco Hometek Inc. announced today that it has expanded its relationship with Hip Interactive Corp to license several of Namco's key video-game properties for the PC. Hip Interactive will develop and distribute PC versions of "kill.switch," "Extreme Force: Grant City Anti-Crime" (working title) and "PAC-MAN WORLD 2" in North America and Europe in 2004. As previously announced, Hip Interactive will be releasing another top Namco franchise, "Dead to Rights" for PC in North America and Europe in fall 2003.
