Yesterday we reported that Oxygen Games (known for titles such as PDC World Championship Darts, Chronos Twins, and various other budget titles) had fallen into administration (Chapter 11) after earlier this year already having sold off all its internal development studios. A day later there is better news as all its IPs, stock and employees are being acquired by former Oxygen boss Jim Scott, who will bring everything under his sales and distribution firm OG International.

In 2007 Oxygen opened a North American branch, so it is not certain yet if the Northern California office will be affected as well. Oxygen Games is best known for titles such as PDC World Championship Darts, Chronos Twins, and various other budget titles.
Oxygen Studios (14 people) are currently seeking a buyer/partner for the studio after majority shareholder Oxygen Games decision to move back to a more traditional publisher model using external development teams only.

UK publisher Oxygen Interactive Software announced that it has established Oxygen Games USA in Northern California, where it will lead sales and manage first party and developer relations for all Oxygen Interactive Software operations in North America.
Chronos Twins is a sidescrolling action game that plays on the concept of time travel in a reassuringly unique manner as it is interwoven as a main game play element. Oxygen Games announced Chronos Twins is scheduled for early autumn release.

Oxygen Interactive have signed leading racing-sim developer Brain In a Jar (previously known for Codemasters' Indy Car Series.) to develop an original Rally simulation. Due for completion in Q3, the game will be on the shelves ahead of Rally GB in September, on PS2 and PC. Jim Scott, Managing Director at Play X Europe, today exclusively announces that his Play X Europe Group is expanding, with a new venture into the publishing world with the launch of a new label – Oxygen Interactive. Scott, a veteran of the Industry since the late 80’, first marked the games industry with his Beyond Belief label back in 1988, developing and publishing games for the Spectrum and Commodore.
