Koei Tecmo America announced that it will be present at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 at the LA Convention Center in Los Angeles, California from June 14th – June 16th, showing off its dark samurai action RPG, Nioh, and giant-slaying action game Attack on Titan, as well as a yet unannounced title by Omega Force.

Sony has rolled out new PlayStation Store content, starting with a permanent 50% price drop on a slew of downloadable PSP titles, Tecmo Bowl Throwback, Planet Mini-Golf (and demo), DLCs for Dead To Rights: Retribution, Lost Planet 2, Record Of Agarest War, Soldner-X bundle (original and sequel, song packs for Guitar Hero 5, Rock Band, and the usual game/movie trailers, PS3 themes, downloadable PSP/PS0ne games (Telegraph Crosswords, N2O Nitrous Oxide).
Tecmo Bowl fans no longer have to reminisce about the old days as players can return to the first video game that emulated real football with new generation consoles, twenty years after its release. Tecmo Bowl Throwback will maintain all of the classic gameplay in addition to fresh new features that modernizes the franchise.
Quantum Theory is a third-person shooter players take on the role of the massive, gun-wielding warrior Syd and battle through intense action sequences in an unpredictable, shape-shifting battlefield. Originally scheduled for March 2010, Tecmo Koei's latest financial results reveals that the game has been delayed, with no nre release date scheduled, same as its upcoming action RPG Souls of Zill O'll.

Koei revealed today that its merger with Tecmo, known for the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive series, will be completed by April 2009, as it plans to acquire Tecmo's shares for $207 million and will then henceforth operate under the Tecmo Koei Holdings label. Earlier this year, Tecmo turned down an offer from Square Enix.
Tecmo announced that Robocalypse and Tecmo Bowl: KickOff, both NDS exclusive titles, have gone gold and will be shipping to retailers across North America on November 18th.

After TECMO turned down a friendly take over offer from Square Enix it revealed early plans to join up with KOEI instead, and has now issued a statement that it will reveal a merger roadmap in two months. A committee has been formed to oversee the business of the two newly-merged companies, which is expected to produce a concrete integration scheme for unifying the two companies in the next two months (thanks Andreas).
Last week Square Enix made a surprise, but friendly, offer to acquire Tecmo, offering the Ninja Gaiden publisher a 30% premium, a bid that would expire Sept. 4, without further attempts in case of rejection. With that deadline now expired, Tecmo issued a statement that it is indeed not going to accept Square Enix's friendly takeover bid, but is instead talking to KOEI about merging the two companies.
Square Enix has expressed interest in acquiring troubled developer Tecmo, whose president resigned last week amid legal issues with former Team Ninja producer Tomonobu Itagaki. Square Enix is planning a friendly takeover and has made the Tecmo board of directors an offer to purchase a controlling interest at a 30% premium. Tecmo has until Sept. 4 to accept or reject the offer, after which it will be withdraw with no further action.

Tecmo today announced its 2008 E3 Media and Business Summit lineup which includes an all-time favorite football game, a game full of robots with attitude and an action adventure packed with tons of goo!
After Team Ninja's Tomonobu Itagaki resigned, and revealed he was filing a lawsuit against Tecmo for outstanding payments, rumors started flying that dozens of additional employees left and similarly filed suit. Tecmo issued a statement saying the rumors are false and, that it only two employees, while it is currently in the process of resolving outstanding compensations to its staff.
Ninja Gaiden II developer Tomonobu Itagaki, also know for the Dead or Alive series, has decided to leave Tecmo and pursue other opportunities. On his way out Itagaki has filed lawsuit against Tecmo for unpaid completion bonuses, unreasonable and disingenuous statements, claiming damages in total of 148 million yen.
