With three overall medals, TEAM USA placed eighth at the World Cyber Games 2009 Grand Final in Chengdu, China. As over 82,000 spectators from around the globe cheered and watched the excitement, TEAM USA took silver and bronze medals in Guitar Hero: World Tour while taking the bronze in Red Stone.

This weekend’s tournament will feature StarCraft: Brood War on Saturday, July 26th, and Age of Mythology and FIFA Soccer 2003 on Sunday, July 27th. Check in for semi-final rounds is at 10:30am and the games begin promptly at 11:00am. This weekend’s last group of semi-finalists will join previous winners at the World Cyber Games U.S. Finals in Los Angeles in August.
