'Star Trek Online' Confirmed by Cryptic Studios Ad

Cryptic Studios is currently working on Champions Online, based on the pen-and-paper Champions RPG, and has been recruiting several times the past few years, and last week merged the City of Heroes/Villains servers. Last month Cryptic Studios put a teaser counter on its website indicating that a new game announcement is scheduled for 27th July, the last day of San Diego Comic-Con. Somebody in its Human Resources department jumped the gun as an ad in the latest Game Developer magazine reveals Cryptic is recruiting for Champions Online ... and Star Trek Online.

Crystal Dynamics has made Tomb Raider Underworld more realistic with fluid movements due to motion capturing. Set a few years after the last game, it also features persistent destruction and lush locales across the globe. Lara gets muddy in the game, but with the weather system, rain will wash it away.

New 'Marvel vs. Capcom' Title in The Works?

During a panel discussion at Comic-Con, Marvel Studios production boss Kevin Feige was asked whether fans might see a new installment in the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise, and he replied, "Yes, and maybe sooner than you think." No further details were revealed, but that confirmation on its own will surely please fans who haven't had a title in the 2-D fighter series since 2003's Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on the Xbox.
