Drawn to Life (NDS)

In Drawn to Life, players use the stylus to create their hero and draw in additional environmental elements to help them on their journey through the many game worlds. The release marks THQ's first original property created specifically for the highly popular DS system.

"As the leading third-party publisher for Nintendo systems for the fifth year in a row(a), THQ is thrilled to now bring the highly-anticipated Drawn to Life to the hands of gamers," said Bob Aniello, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, THQ. "Drawn to Life takes full advantage of the Nintendo DS features in a completely new way and we anticipate this unique style of gameplay will be well-received by DS fans."

In Drawn to Life, players will help save a dying village from the shadow-like evil that has taken over the world. Players will draw their own unique hero to conquer a variety of different worlds including the Snow Fields, the Deep Dark Forest, the Rapo Islands and the castle of Rapoville. The robust drawing tool contains different methods of creation such as numerous colors and palettes, brush types and stamps that will allow for complete freedom to develop one-of-a-kind characters and game elements. The game also features several unlockable character templates and the ability to save up to two profiles, each with three original characters, and more than 150 drawings. Drawn to Life will also feature the ability for players to trade their created heroes with friends via the Nintendo DS multicard local wireless function.

Drawn to Life, developed by 5TH Cell, is rated E for everyone and is now available for a suggested retail price of $29.99.

Zoey 101: Field Trip Fiasco (NDS)

Based on the wildly popular Nickelodeon live-action TV series starring Jamie Lynn Spears, the DS game marks the second original release following this spring’s Zoey 101 for the GBA.

In Zoey 101: Field Trip Fiasco, players will join Zoey and her friends as they embark on a grand field trip to Painted Rock National Park. When their trip turns into a disaster after they get separated from their guide, players will help the stranded team get rescued and make their way back to the comforts of civilization. Fans of the show will be able to interact with their favorite Zoey 101 characters, as well as explore the Pacific Coast Academy campus. Zoey 101: Field Trip Fiasco features exciting new mini-games that utilize DS-specific controls including starting a campfire by blowing into the DS microphone and using the stylus to paddle a raft through the raging river.

The release of the new game is timed to coincide with a brand new season of Zoey 101 on Nickelodeon’s TEENick programming block—premiering on September 16. In all new episodes, Zoey and friends head back to the books at Pacific Coast Academy amid ocean breezes, as the teen leader courts romance and faces life-changing decisions.

Zoey 101: Field Trip Fiasco is rated E for everyone and is now available for a suggested retail price of $29.99.
