Octagon Teams Up With 'Disciples Of The Machine'

by Thomas on Dec. 18, 2002 @ 5:24 p.m. PST

Octagon is seeking publishing partners in Asia for Battle Cards: MetalTech from Swedish developer Disciples of the Machine. MetalTech is a massively multiplayer online game that is a rare find in the MMOG genre as it features addictive gameplay involving trading cards. Players must strategically choose which cards to unleash from their own decks to conquer challengers' front lines of defense. Cards are divided into seven categories and function in terms of combat tactics, energy and special effects. The game is designed so that players can download the game client and practice free of charge. Advanced decks are available for purchase and new card packs are introduced each month. MetalTech also offers a spectator option in which players can scope out the competition in the heat of battle. MetalTech is scheduled to be completed Q2 2003.
