Gabby Logan to Present 'FourFourTwo'

by Thomas on March 18, 2002 @ 3:53 p.m. PST

SCi, one of Europe’s leading publishers of computer games, today announces the signing of a licence agreement with Gabby Logan (nee Yorath) to present FourFourTwo, SCi’s latest football manager PC computer game, alongside Terry Venables.

Gabby Logan to Present “FourFourTwo” PC Computer Game with Terry Venables

Gabby (29), daughter of Terry Yorath (former member of Leeds United, Manager of Wales and now first team coach at Sheffield Wednesday), married Kenny Logan, the Scottish Rugby International, last year, and is the host for ITV1’s On The Ball (Saturday lunchtime) and the Monday evening version of The Premiership. Gabby will also be a key player in ITV’s coverage of the World Cup in Japan and South Korea from May 31st.

SCi’s game is due to be released on PC in September this year during the 2002/3 football season with significant contributions to game design from Terry Venables, one of the most popular and successful Football managers of recent years. The game offers players the most realistic simulation of the manager’s role ever seen. Its unique features will include:

  • The most realistic 3D football action seen in a football management game.
  • Don’t just watch from the stands, stand on the touchline and shout instructions – with tips from Terry to help you develop your management skills.
  • Face to face tactical discussions with players, on the training pitch and in the changing room – with Terry available for advice and hints about how to best proceed.
  • Real time press conferences and post match interviews – handled by Gabby.

Unlike other games you can also begin the action in the present day or go back to the hairstyles, tight shorts and sponsor-free days of the early 1980s to re-live or re-shape the former glories of your favourite teams.

Jane Cavanagh, Chief Executive of SCi commented: “We are delighted to announce that Gabby Logan will be featured in FourFourTwo as the main game presenter, working alongside Terry. She is probably the most popular female presenter of football on television today and we are pleased that she wishes to be associated with such a unique and a high quality product.”
