EA SPORTS, now in the 11th year of an exclusive partnership with the PGA TOUR is pleased to announce the involvement of Colin Montgomerie, the first world class UK golfer to feature in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2002 golf simulation for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system and PC.

Montgomerie has been Europe’s number one golfer for the last ten years and is famed as one of the most accurate strikers of the ball in the world, leading him to success with his 25th European Tour title in the Murphy's Irish Open at Fota Island Golf Club and subsequent victory in the Volvo Scandinavian Masters, winning the title for an unprecedented third time. Clearly these statistics make Colin Montgomerie a fantastic ambassador for the sport in the UK and we are very proud to have him as a key figure in this year’s game.

"It's great to be represented in EA SPORTS Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2002," said British golfer Colin Montgomerie, "The technology is great and hopefully my appearance in the game will inspire a younger British audience to take up this great sport."

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2002 reinvents golf with an all new engine that takes the fun of Sunday golf with your friends and mixes it up with the competitive pressure of the PGA TOUR to deliver a fast and furious game experience. With prestigious courses including the Royal Birkdale course, the first English course to be included in the game, and an all-star line-up of PGA TOUR golf pros and a variety of modes, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2002 will keep even the lowest handicapped golfer challenged for months to come.
