'ECTS' Moves To Earls Court And Signs Sony

Europe’s leading interactive entertainment expo, ECTS, is set to return to central London in September, taking up residency at Earls Court between Thursday 29th and Saturday 31st August. In addition, for the first time ever, running alongside the show will be a consumer hall exclusively hosted by Sony Computer Entertainment.
“This is a massive evolution for the ECTS brand but one which will strengthen the show enormously. The move to Earl’s Court provides us with the perfect stage to host both consumer and trade elements of the show, and Sony’s massive involvement will help to bring the entertainment and excitement back to ECTS. This event will be the biggest European promotional platform that the industry has this year and I’d like to encourage everybody to be a part of what will be a very exciting week for the industry,” commented ECTS Event Director Andy Lane

“Our current line up of games is the strongest in PlayStation history and we needed a vehicle where both consumers and the media can understand exactly what the hype is all about,” commented Ray Maguire, Managing Director, Sony Computer Entertainment UK.

“Our involvement at ECTS makes for a great combination for consumers, the media and the trade, but also provides a backdrop for all of PlayStation’s European territories to convey the excitement of our software.”

ECTS is organised by CMP Europe Ltd. During the three days of the show, around 20,000 trade visitors and 3,000 press and broadcast journalists are expected to attend, as well as tens of thousands of consumers.
