Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. a leading manufacturer of video game accessories, today announced that the "Beat Pad" controller for Playstation2, compatible with THQ Inc.'s Britney's Dance Beat, is now available. Mad Catz' "Beat Pad," a digital controller for dance and action games, features four-way directional control, ten large high-performance action pads and a durable tactile surface for enhanced comfort and improved handling.

"Our 'Beat Pad' is the most superior dance and action pad on the market today," said Darren Richardson, President and COO of Mad Catz, Inc. "We're very excited to have the opportunity to cross-promote our product with THQ's Britney's Dance Beat as we believe the combined package offers hours of fun for everyone who enjoys dancing to Britney's music."

Mad Catz will be hosting a "Dance Beat Challenge" contest at the E3 show in Los Angeles, May 22-24 at booth #500 in South Hall where gamers will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills at Britney's Dance Beat game using Mad Catz' "Beat Pad". Prizes including "Beat Pads" and Mad Catz T-shirts will be awarded to the contestants with the best moves.

Britney's Dance Beat allows players to audition to be a backup dancer on Spears' virtual concert tour by maneuvering one of six characters through a series of practices to perfect their dance moves. While the Mad Catz "Beat Pad" is being marketed in conjunction with THQ's Britney's Dance Beat, it works well with all dance games, including Konami's Dance Dance Revolution and other PlayStation dance games.
