"Unfortunately, some players were unable to organize their teams or make travel arrangements in time to compete at the regional qualifiers closest to them," Joe Hill, president, Cyber X Gaming, said. "We felt the BIS and the BYOC events were a great way to give all these gamers a second chance to compete at the world's most important gaming festival."
Players can also sign up for the 2,500 open spots in the BYOC (bring your own computer) event with $100,000 in prizes.
Teams interested in a BIS or BYOC should select the "Las Vegas/CES Finals" option during the registration process at the official Cyber XGaming website.
