New Map For Junglewar: Vietcong 'Behind Enemy Lines'

by Thomas on Feb. 8, 2003 @ 2:07 a.m. PST

To mark the success of Junglewar: Vietcong gaining over 14,000 signups since its launch in late Dec, PC videogame publishers, Gathering have created a new scenario to keep players entertained until the release of Vietcong on the 21st March 2003 (UK release).

'Behind Enemy Lines'

A US helicopter has been shot down behind enemy lines. Intel suggests that the VC have recovered important documents from the crash site and taken them to a nearby village. A crack squad of US troops has been sent in to look for survivors, destroy the documents and kill any VC that have come into contact with the documents.

The map features new graphics from the Vietcong PC game, even more foliage to hide in when planning ambushes, and a random 'base' generator to keep players guessing where they need to strike. Behind Enemy Lines requires far more teamwork and strategy than the original scenarios launched with Junglewar.

Prizes for German Junglewar: Vietcong fans.

Although the Junglewar competition was originally planned as a UK specific promotion, its international popularity has now prompted us to add prizes for its German players. You'll have to be good to get on the leaderboard these days though, there's some very keen fans out there!!

So what are you waiting for soldier? Find out what Junglewar: Vietcong is all about directly at www.junglewar.com, or visit the official Vietcong game website, www.vietcong-game.com.
