Aspyr Media Inc. announced today that it has shipped a Macintosh version of the popular video game based on "Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets," J.K. Rowling's second book in the worldwide best-selling series and blockbuster movie sequel from Warner Bros. Pictures. The game will be available at retailers nationwide beginning April 16, 2003. Aspyr licensed "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" from Electronic Arts, and Macintosh conversion was done by Westlake Interactive.

Mac gamers will have a chance to attend a second term at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry(tm). In this new adventure, players learn second-year spells, undertake new quests, make new friends and challenge new adversaries to confront the powers at the heart of the Chamber of Secrets. Get ready to enter the magical world of Harry Potter once again!

"`Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets' is a must have. The game is great for gamers of all ages," says Ted Staloch, vice president of publishing for Aspyr. "We are honored to be shipping the Macintosh version."

The Macintosh version will also allow players to take the role of Harry Potter as he enrolls in Hogwarts and embarks on a journey to unlock the secrets of his own magical abilities. Along the way Harry will explore the halls of Hogwarts and its surrounding grounds, study to be a wizard, learn to fly a broomstick and play Quidditch, collect objects to solve puzzles, become skilled at spells and potions, discover secret passages and locations, and interact with other characters from the book.

The game will also feature an array of puzzle and adventure gameplay as players guide Harry through the halls of Hogwarts, sneaking around to avoid confrontations with nosey characters like Filch and Peeves. The Macintosh version also features a fast, arcade-style Quidditch game to further immerse players in the magical world of Harry Potter. Harry Potter's(tm) biggest fans can easily install and play his interactive adventure, delivering advanced 3D graphics on more powerful machines.

The J.K. Rowling Harry Potter book series has been published in 115 countries and in 28 languages with more than 100 million books in circulation worldwide. The Harry Potter books have rocketed up and stayed atop national best-seller lists in several countries.

"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" is rated "E" (Everyone) by the ESRB and is available wherever great interactive entertainment software is sold, with a Suggested Retail Price of $49.99.
