'Purge Online' - Update Patch Available NOW

Get the Purge Online v1.4.5 RETAIL patch off Worthplaying (16mb)

The following patch and tools is for the full Purge retail version. You need a clean installation of Purge to apply the patch. Please try the following, if you have problems with the patch:

  1. Uninstall Purge.
  2. Reboot.
  3. Delete everything remaining Purge directory. You may want to keep the files in your "/SAVE" directory if you want to save your Experience Points on Persistence server.
  4. Reinstall Purge from the CD.

Technology

  • Better optimized "Internet Speed" options.
  • Optimized server sending netcode that reduces about 270 bytes per second per player.
  • Reduced packet size for players in combat.

DETAILS

  • Tenacity now reduces blinding pain (screen flash) and damage stunning.

RPG Mechanics

  • The XP chart has been shifted up one e.g. level 2 requires 2000 XP now.
  • Players no longer gain XP for Assists on an empty server.
  • Player must gain atleast 20 XP to recieve an Assist point.

Skills General

  • Minor skills introduced. Three new skills added. Android & Mage have Light skill. The Wastelander & Monk have the Protect skill. The Cyborg, Fighter, Commando, and Assassin have the Disarm skill.
  • The Nano Generator/Guardian Spirit now shields (increases the Armor Class) differently. The Portal recieve the normal AC buff with a +10. So 50% skill gives 20 AC boost instead of 10 AC. However the Ion Barriers/Wards can now only be buffed from 1-10 AC (depending on skill).
  • Fixed bug that allowed you disarm friendly Mines/Traps with friendly fire off.
  • Reduced and standardized the screen flash notification on buffs and items.

Weapons General

  • Explosion Type I increased from 20 to 25.
  • Explosion Type II increased from 35 to 40.
  • Explosion Type III increased 50 to 55.

Android

  • New Light minor skill.
  • Armor reduced to Armor Class 15 and Armor Points 150.
  • Plasma Rifle velocity increased 50%.
  • Ion Barrier bounding box tweaked to better match the visual.
  • Nano Generators now give less XP.

Mage

  • New Light minor skill.
  • Armor reduced to Armor Class 15 and Armor Points 150.
  • Wards more transparent.
  • Wards bounding box tweaked to better match the visual.
  • Guardian Spirits now give less XP.

Cyborg

  • New Disarm minor skill.

Fighter

  • New Disarm minor skill.
  • Defender shield tints the Fighter blue instead of an energy dome.
  • Phoenix Axe penetration increased from 20 to 25.
  • Removed bright red flash when the Fighter uses the Hyper skill.

Commando

  • New Disarm minor skill.

Assassin

  • New Disarm minor skill.
  • Vorpal Crossbow pentration raised from 65 to 70.

Wastelander

  • New Protect minor skill.
  • Nuke has a 20% shorter fuse and 20% more radius.
  • Nuke pentration increased from 65 to 70.
  • Chemical Grenade penetration increased from 15 to 23. Radius reduced 25%.

Monk

  • New Protect minor skill.
  • Angelfire has a 20% shorter fuse and 20% more radius.
  • Angelfire penetration increased from 65 to 70.
  • Fixed bug where punching did not animate the player model.

Gameplay

  • Respawn invulnerability now gives a dark tinting look.
  • Even with FF off, you can no longer hurt your own Portal.
  • Fixed bug that increased "blinding pain" based on distance to attack instead of damage delivered.

Maps

  • Fixed respawning in the wrong base on the Shard map.
  • Pumpstation Nightvision/Extravision fixed to work on Pumpstation. Various other map bugs fixed improving framerate.
  • Invisible wall removed on Hiegra so players can climb the hill behind the Order's portal and snipe.
  • Various map tweaks on Secret Fire including improved lighting, clipping-related stuff (terrain occluders and view distance), and houses have been mapped indoors now. Also a new underground tunnel added to Secret Fire.
  • Fixed falling out of world on Canopy.

UI

  • Players level 10+ no longer see the objectives text.
  • When waiting to respawn, now all three methods to repair the portal are suggested to the player.
  • The "Friend" and "Enemy" tag has been removed from players.
  • Friend's names now show up green over their heads.
  • Enemy names now show up red over their heads.
  • Fixed various inaccurate tips.
