'The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon' Coming To Europe

by Thomas on June 6, 2003 @ 3:16 a.m. PDT

Ubi Soft Entertainment today announced a distribution deal with Bethesda Softworks to publish The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon – the second expansion of the RPG-of-the-Year, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind – in European territories and Australia. Scheduled for release in June 2003, Bloodmoon takes you to the frozen Island of Solstheim where the Empire is establishing a new mining colony – a venture being threatened by the prophecy of the Bloodmoon and rumors of werewolves.

"We are thrilled with offering to the European Morrowind community a fresh experience that will look and feel completely new for Morrowind players," said Florence Alibert, EMEA Marketing Director. "Bloodmoon's new setting, storyline, and artwork make it feel like a whole new game unto itself."

Your journey north from Vvardenfell by ship will bring you to a whole new world, where the ashlands and rainy coasts of Morrowind give way to forests and hills covered with snow and ice. In the huge wilderness of Solstheim you'll experience snow, blizzards, and new creatures, including frost trolls, ice minions, and wolves...just to name a few.

You'll have a choice of stories to follow and have the opportunity to defend the colony, take control over how the colony is built up, and eliminate the werewolves. Or, you can decide to join the werewolves and become one of them, opening up a whole new style of gameplay.

The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon is the second expansion pack for Morrowind. The first expansion pack, TribunalTM, was released in November 2002 (March 2003 for localized French and German versions).
