Mithis and HD Interactive Working on New RTS

by Judy on Oct. 5, 2004 @ 7:51 a.m. PDT

HD Interactive and Mithis proudly announce the signing of their latest project. The deal concerns an RTS title that has yet to be named and will be developed by a new team within Mithis comprising of, amongst others, all the key personnel and creators of 'Codename: Panzers - Phase One'. This last bit is interesting as Codename Panzers was made by Stormregion, and several sequels were already planned.
Europe’s leading independent PC games publisher HD Interactive and hungarian world-class games developer Mithis proudly announce the signing of their latest project. The deal concerns an RTS title that has yet to be named and will be developed by a new team within Mithis comprising of, amongst others, all the key personnel and creators of 'Codename: Panzers - Phase One'.

Mike Klumper of HD Interactive: "This RTS will feature next generation technology, stunning visuals and fantastic gameplay, some of it even completely new in the RTS field. More details will be revealed soon, but from what I’ve seen so far, I know this game will be amazing."

The RTS game marks the second time Mithis and HD Interactive join forces: soon to be released action-packed tactical strategy game 'Nexus - The Jupiter Incident' was the first.

"Although I am of course delighted with this signing, it's really only a logical progression. We wanted to do more projects with Mithis from the onset. Since working on Nexus together, Mithis and HD Interactive wanted to strengthen their relationship further." says Mike Klumper, Managing Director of Amsterdam based HD Interactive.

Robert Sugar, CEO of Mithis was also very excited stating: "Our cooperation with HD Interactive on Nexus was excellent so we are extremely excited to announce this new project together. We want Mithis to be synonymous with quality games and this new project will emphasise that.”

The real time strategy game is set for a worldwide release in Q2 2006.
