'Climax' Will Be Recruiting At The GDC

by Rainier on March 10, 2004 @ 12:01 a.m. PST

Climax today announced that the company will be having a booth in the Career Pavillion at this year’s Game Developers Conference, a massive gathering of the industry’s leaders and enthusiasts, in San Jose, California. The leading independent game development company is currently in the process of hiring developers in a variety of positions, including VP of Development, as well as artists, programmers, and designers to staff its Los Angeles studio.

“The level and range of talent out there right now is staggering,” said Climax CEO Karl Jeffery. “We pride ourselves on consistently making high-quality, technologically advanced, wildly entertaining games, and this depends on having the top talent in our studios. Securing a recruitment booth at GDC was a sure-fire way to reach the kind of people we want working at Climax.”

These new hires will be a part of some exciting initiatives that Climax has in store for 2004, including development of one of the first next-generation titles, work on developments for PSP in the company’s handheld division, and several highly anticipated projects like Sudeki and Warhammer Online.

The Game Developers Conference is home to the largest game development job fair, where companies and development studios from around the world converge to recruit the industry’s most promising individuals. The GDC and EXPO are taking place March 22 – 26th at the San Jose Convention Center. For further information about employment opportunities and Climax, visit booth #1822.
