SKIRMISH MODE DESCRIPTION

The Skirmish mode is an all new challenging mode for Brothers in Arms Earned in Blood. Complete 10 missions (5 playing german side and 5 playing US soldiers) in order to show your skills.

Skirmish Types

Each Skirmish type offers unique gameplay and can be used with all 10 maps:
Objective - This Skirmish type allows for an unmodified game experience, similar to the Single-Player Campaign. Each map has unique mission objectives. This Skirmish type is not scored.
Timed Assault - Destroy all enemies on a map within a limited time. Rank is determined by time left over after completion.
Defense - Test your endurance against repeating waves of opponents. Each
wave is tougher than the last. This Skirmish Type is scored by the number of completed waves.
Tour of Duty - The ultimate authentic challenge. Complete all 5 American or German missions with one life and one squad, and unlock the next tour of Duty difficulty. No checkpoints no save games, and no whining.

Enemy Skill Level

Enemy skill level is customizable; you can choose from one of 4 skill levels or customize your enemy's ratings of the following:
Accuracy - Customize how accurately the enemy fires on you and your squad.
Tactics - Customize the amount of movement the enemy makes on the field, and their likelihood to make aggressive maneuvers.
Suppression - Customize how much weapon fire is required to keep the enemy's head down.

US Objective Missions

  1. High Ground : US soldiers must fight their way up the hill towards a German bunker emplacement, break through the defenses, and destroy Flak 36 guns that are preventing US forces from advancing from the beachhead.
  2. BrokenTanks : US soldiers must clear a German defensive position on top of a hill covering the area s main road, then clear out the area of any remaining Germans, and take control of a abandoned house being used as ammo depot.
  3. Through the Valley : Traveling atop a high ridge, the US soldier must guide, and provide cover for his men below him as they clear out the valleys farms of German soldiers who have taken up positions in the area.
  4. Last Stop : US Soldiers must navigate through a dried up river bed to destroy a bridge to cut off the Germans supply train from passing. Their second objective is to destroy the remaining traincar full of German supplies.
  5. TakingTheHill : US soldiers must make their way along a main causeway to take out a heavily defended German Observation Post set uptop a hill blocking passage into Carentan.

German Objective Missions

  1. Night Lights : German soldiers must defend the farmhouse where they have 3 Flak 36 guns positioned to defend from the invading Americans.
  2. Taking Back The Hamlet : German soldiers must recapture the small Hamlet that was taken by the Americans the night before, and defend the church until reinforcements arrive.
  3. The Warehouse District : German forces are trying to clear out the warehouse district of US forces so they can move supplies through to the front forces.
  4. Holding The Line : German soldiers have set up a series of defensive lines in the trenches to prevent the Americans from pushing forward. The Germans must hold the farmhouse acting as a ammo depot at all costs.
  5. Through th Rubble : German soldiers must recapture the city overrun with American forces, and join up with the German armor waiting on the other side of town.

The multiplayer mode of BiA: Earned In Blood plays nearly identical to the single player game mode with several exceptions. Like this single player mode, the player in the multiplayer mode commands squads and engages “enemy” squads. In the multiplayer mode, the player is given an objective to complete and set amount of time in order to complete the objective. Unlike single player or skirmish modes, the player in multiplayer is given the opportunity to respawn into other squad mates upon his death.

General Objectives:

Timer Victory – On every map, there is a timer which is set to 10 minutes. Once this timer runs out, the designated defender of the map wins the mission. The defender is chosen per the map’s objectives.

Reinforcement Victory – Every player in a multiplayer game session has a set amount of reinforcements they are able to call in. If all players on a side run out of reinforcements and can no longer respawn, their opponents are declared the winners of the map. Initial reinforcement sizes are dependent on the map and the amount of players involved
