This week, City of Heroes subscribers will receive an e-mail with a unique serial code that they can give to that special non-City of Heroes player which gives 14 days of free online play. Current players whose referred friend later becomes a regular City of Heroes subscriber after the 14 day free play period ends, will get a shot at one of 10 available beta slots for the highly anticipated City of Heroes sequel, City of Villains.
City of Heroes, which was recently named as “MMO of the Year” by Computer Games Magazine, “2004 PC or Console Game of the Year” by Billboard Magazine and “Multiplayer Game of the Year” at the 2004 Spike TV Video Game Awards, has a monthly subscription fee of $14.95.
