'Jak 4', 'Sly 3' And 'Ratchet 4' (PS2) Revealed

Yes you read it right, the newest issue of EGM reveals not one, but three new PS2 titles, all scheduled for fall 2005. Jak & Daxter 4 will be released under the name Jak X, and unlike previous titles in the franchise will be GTA like combat racing game. In Sly 3 you will have to recover Sly's secret family fortune as you visit exotic locations like China, Venice and Australia. This time around you will also be able to play as some of Sly's foes. Ratchet: Deadlocked will be more a squad based title, but the part Clank will play in this title has not yet been disclosed. Read more for additional details ...

Ratchet: Deadlocked

The fourth title in four years for developer Insomniac. Clank's name has been removed from the title, and the first scans do not show him anywhere on the screens, so Clank's role remains a mystery. Ratchet: Deadlocked will be more squad based, so you will be running, jumping & shooting with various new characters. Ratcher will now wear a Master Chief like battle suit, and have even more customizable firearms. Ratchet: Deadlocked will feature multiplayer and the possibility to play the singleplayer missions with friends over the internet.

Jak X

Jak II featured hovercraft action, Jak III some dune buggy racing, and the newest Jak X will go full out and be a full-on racing game. The new title takes place after the events in Jak III and you are in a desperate race to save the world from poisoning, the only way ot obtain the cure is by racing the Krew.You will have to complete various type of races such as time trial, deathmatch, time box and so forth, all set in a free and non-linear Grand Theft Auto type environment. You will be able to equip your ride with a variety of missiles, short and long-range guns, mines, turbo boosts, repair kits and so foth. This time around there will be split screens multiplayer and the word on the street is, full online multiplayer.
