'Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes' (Xbox) Gets UK Release Date

by Rainier on June 15, 2005 @ 9:47 a.m. PDT

Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes raises the intensity of the fast-paced action-strategy game with improved epic battles; new characters, environments, units; and new multiplayer options for waging war.

Everyone enjoys the big scale battle scenes in movies such as The Lord of the Rings, Gladiator and Braveheart. Everyone imagines themselves being at the center of it all, as the hero who decides the fate of the battle. With KUFH, players will have a chance to do exactly that. Command hundreds of warriors and slay thousands of enemies as you fight to survive in this medieval world of swords and sorcery.

Set in the same time frame as its predecessor, KUFH introduces seven new heroes who will chronicle the chaotic war for the fate of all mortals in seven different perspectives, fought across 50+ campaign missions.

Once your main character has been chosen, the war begins. You will have to quickly learn to move soldiers to advantageous battlegrounds, counter adversary attacks, dispose of enemy captains and coordinate multiple units until you become the ultimate warlord. As your skill grows, your characters and soldiers will grow as well. A deadly arsenal of special moves and combos will become available for your character; your soldiers will gain stronger weapons and equipment; and reinforcements including catapults and dragons will join your army's march.

Hundreds of soldiers fighting to death, earth shattering Stone Golems, catapults launching boulders, celestial bodies summoned to crush enemies... The action is more explosive than ever, yet the strategy is even deeper. Single Player Mode of KUFH is over 50 hours of epic fantasy warfare, breathtakingly rendered with cutting edge 3D graphics.

Once you have mastered the skills and strategy, it is time to compete against human opponents on Xbox® LiveTM. Fully supporting Xbox Live features in 3 different Multiplayer Modes, you can defend a fortress with your allies, destroy your opponents' armies, or simply fight it out single-handedly to determine who is the strongest warrior of all. Replay Save, Spectator Mode, and Fair-match Options will help you pick up the necessary skills to enjoy the total war experience.

A world of swords and sorcery is created for you. How long can you survive in it?
