Square Enix today announced that Final Fantasy XI: The Vana'diel Collection will ship to retailers on August 16th, 2005. Including the expansion packs Rise of the Zilart, and Chains of Promathia as well as Tetra Master, the wildly popular and addictive mini-game, the special gold foil All-In-One packaging will carry a suggested retail price of $29.99.

Final Fantasy XI: The Vana'diel Collection will provide the easiest installation ever of the first cross-platform, cross-continent massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) on one DVD.

Final Fantasy XI subscribers will receive their first 30 days of access without charge. In addition, the package will include a Vana'diel Buddy Pass which allows a friend to create an account and play the basic Final Fantasy XI game free for 30 days. Also included is an iTunes Collector's Card for a free music download from the Final Fantasy XI Collection.

"It's never been easier to experience and enter Vana'diel with the new, easy to install DVD," said Yasu Kurosawa, North America Online Producer, Square Enix, Inc. "I hope that this package will bring in the fans who have been curious but a little thrown off by the previous installation methods so they can finally enjoy all the great features Final Fantasy XI has to offer."

"We are very pleased to be able to bring Final Fantasy XI to gamers in a much more accessible package," said Ichiro Otobe, President and COO of Square Enix, Inc. "Since the launch 3 years ago, Final Fantasy XI has constantly evolved, always incorporating the demands of players, so I think the newcomers will really enjoy the experience that awaits them in Vana'diel."
